I'll be happy to pass this suggestion up to developers, but at this time, I'm not aware of any plans to add an EQ option outside of the available pre-sets.

For iPod music - if you rip the music yourself into a higher bitrate, that may improve the audio for the discerning ear. However, CDs are a fuller range (minus mp3 discs), and if you're not getting the audio you want from those, there may not be additional options outside the audio settings and presets.

Yes It's primarily cd reproduction that is the issue, in my room it sounds quite dull and bass-heavy, and tweaking of presets and settings doesn't remedy this, although when I unplug the subwoofer a lot of the boominess is removed. I would like to add a bit more 'sparkle' and clarity in the top end too, which I would expect the small drivers in the tallboys would deliver.

I've read several reviews of the HT -C series and a lot of them comment that the sub is a bit too predominant and that on board eq presets don't seem to fully solve the problem, so I know it's not just me, and i think that manual eq adjustment (rather than presets and auto set-up) would be welcomed by a lot of people and would be well worth adding as a future update. I realise that this range of systems has been superceded, but there must be a pretty big user-base which would benefit surely?
