SA350 Monitor to MacBook stopped cooperating

My SA350 was working flawlessly with my MacBook Pro for a week or so, but now when it my MacBook goes to sleep the my Samsung Display won't come back. It did work for a moment after reconnecting everything, and than it slept again and I haven't been able to reconnect. I have it connected by a DVI to HDMI cable that goes into a HDMI to mini-DVI converter to my laptop.

Anyone else have to trouble shoot this before?

My adapter was fried apparently...
