Wifi disconnects from time to time - Galaxy Tab 7 Plus

I've got a Galaxy Tab 7 Plus on Wednesday and happy with it but I noticed that the wifi disconnects from time to time. When facing connection problems, the wifi icon in the notification area turns grey in colour. When I tap on the notification area I see the SSID next to the grey coloured wifi icon. To make it work again, I have to disable and re-enable Wifi, but that annoys me.
Most of the time I am just four meteres away or less from the wireless router.
Os: Android 3.2 Honeycomb
Model: GT-P6200

1. Try it the CNET Networking Forum way with router defaults, then WPA2 AES personal for security.

2. Be sure there is nothing going on with the router WiFi channels. Last month we ran into some router set to Euro channels and nothing worked (until we set it back to NA channels.)

3. Try another router. Some dig in on that one but we have solved it by swapping routers. Since it works with the new router, we move on. Why? Router is cheaper than a tech charge.

About wifi channels

I've opened the router settings to check the channels the one that was selected was auto and there were another 13 ones that were named from 1 to 13. Is the right one selected?

Now Auto is JUST FINE but let's say the router picks channel 13 and your device is set to NA. It might connect if close enough because of overlap then drop.

It sounds like this are is new to you which is fine. Just check your device and see if it is set to the rest of the world so it can get those other channels.

Sorry I cant understand what you meant by this: " Just check your device and see if it is set to the rest of the world so it can get those other channels."
And I noticed that most of the time the internet icon stays blue and saying connected to the SSID but no webpage loads. That also applies to any app that needs internet to load something.

I agree this is too much for the everyday user. This is why I supplied a link so you could read more.

The link supplied noted the three WiFi channels and your question makes me think you didn't read the material. That's OK but you may need to have your WiFi guru over to help you next.

I tried reading it again, I've chose the channel as 11. I used it continuously for 1hour and have not faced a single disconnect. I will not mark it as solved. Let's wait for few days as I don't know what may happen.
