Got the TV a couple of days ago. Setup was perfect. Connected to my wireless no issues. All of a sudden yesterday, the TV wireless adapator no longer see's ANY WIRELESS NETWORK.

My Xbox, laptops, all see my in home wirless router. Spoke to Samsung support they say it's a wireless router issue, but if it is why does XBOX and laptop see the network and the TV doesn't see ANY NETWORK. (no less than 5 in my area).

Again, no problems on Tuesday, all of a sudden Weds, the TV will not connect. Unplugger router, cable modem, re-set TV to factory default. Nothing.

I'm not sure why it would work one day, and not the next. There are any number of variables that could cause this, and unfortunately, you'd have a better idea than I would, even.

Is it possible that your retailer might check your network or even exchange your television if it's not working correctly? This, of course, wouldn't fix it if it's not the TV and ends up being the router, but at least you can have a peace of mind with your investment and then maybe look more into your network.

Wondering what some of the "other variables" could be since the TV is the only thing that doesn't see the network, after it did for 4 days.

Tonight I am going to plug the TV into an Ethernet connection. If that doesn't work then I will be request a service ticket because it's pretty obvious whats wrong then.

Sorry if I was misunderstood. By variables, I would mean something like a firewall issue, or a time-out issues in the router. Some people who call their router companies (or local buddy network expert) find a setting that fixes the issue.

I'm just as much of a loss as to why it would work for 4 days and stop. It sounds like something changed, but I'm also not sure what.

Same Problem with WiFi on PN51E550

I've had my PN51E550 for several days. I have the exact same symptom. Out of the box it worked - found my router and connected. Netfix etc all worked. It has gotten progressively worse to the point where it now does not even detect my router. All my other devices connect (laptop, tablet, smartphones) with no problem. The support line seems to think it's my router. I've tried everything I can think of. No luck. I have a WiFi analyzer app on my tablet and it says the signal is very strong by the TV. It may have to go back to the store.

Defect and Samsung wont support

Samsung customer service said they will not support because the TV is fine, it's MY router issue. It's going back to the store for me,I WILL NEVER buy another SAMSUNG. Customer service / support stinks 100%. I am going to take a video of the defective TV and post on YOU TUBE so other potential buyers can see what lies ahead for them., as well as ALL the Samsung customer support comments which I have the original screen shots on.

Oh Samsung wont even schedule a service call either. The frog I talked too said the internal WIFI isn't a warranty issue. Not exactly sure what that means.

Oh well, going back to store on Monday and back to my trusted Sony's

I was able to get my tv to find my router. I unplugged the power and plugged it back in. My router immediately showed up and worked. I made no changes to the router before or after the power cycle. Draw your own conclusions. It can't hurt to give it a try.

I have the same problem

I set the network two times in 2 months already and it keeps losing the connection. My father also has the same problem with his samsung and he has a much better and much more expensive samsung than I do. I think the problem is with the samsung newtork setting. I spoke with someone from samsung and they said to reset the tv. We'll see if that does anything. They advertise all of these apps that you can't use because the network setting keeps disappearing. Thank god for my PS3. Maybe I should have stuck with Sony.

We find that other WiFi router settings than what we suggest in the CNET Networking Forum tend to do that.

This is the SHORT VERSION so check out the CNET Networking Forum for a longer post about what to try with Samsung devices.

SHORT VERSION -> Router defaults, 20 or so feet from the router to TV and use WPA2 AES personal security. If you hid the SSID may God have mercy on your soul.
