Hello,
I have a Samsung UN55D6000SFXZA that I purchased last fall. It seems to have a control issue. This is what it is doing:
The tv will not allow the xbox to turn on independently. I have an Xbox 360 plugged into HDMI 1. The xbox won't turn on unless the tv is on. I can push the xbox power button and the light and fan kick on, and it sounds like it is on. When I turn on the tv, no matter how much time is between the two events, the start up logo on the xbox is what I see on the tv. I can also be playing a game, turn the tv off and the xbox will shut down. Turn on the tv and xbox is powering on.
The tv will not allow control of the second feed coming out of my dish network box. I have a dish network VIP722 plugged into HDMI 2, the tv has the first feed from the box. A second feed is in my bedroom through co-axial. I can only affect what I see in the bedroom when either A) the Samsung is turned on and set to HDMI 2 (to watch tv), or B) the HDMI in port 2 is unplugged. If I am playing Xbox on HDMI 1 and my girlfriend wants to watch tv in the bedroom, she can't. Can't change the channel, watch a recording, go to the menu, or the guide. Unless I unplug HDMI 2.
I have tried every combination of HDMI ports, I have checked the settings, read through the manual, read through online guide the tv has, and searched through forums.
Help! This is annoying. I appreciate any help. If I need to be more specific, I will gladly do so.
