Since I bought my Samsung Galaxy Gio, I have had nothing but trouble with it...
I bought in June 2011.
September 2011, I returned it to the shop, since it was switching itself off all the time. They did a software update and everything was OK again. I have heard more people having this problem, but this is not what I want to talk about.
When I recieved my phone back, as said, there was a new version of Android installed. After that, I found out my phone was extremely slow and my Wifi was having errors all the time (I do not have 3G access in my contract, so I use Wifi a lot). It would not make connection, the phone would crash once a week, I had trouble charging it. The phone would go dead as soon as the power supply was switched on.
I returned it to the store in October again. When it came back, nothing changed. After a long monologue in the shop, they agreed to give me a new phone.
I recieved a new Gio in November, which I returned to the shop in January 2012 due to an error in the screen. I have now had my phone back for about a month, and I noticed it is being slow again.
Let me specify 'slow'. The phone will not be able to switch screens fluidly, the keyboard will be 5 letters behind me typing, applications will be closed and opened when it suits the phone.
I have no applications installed which I do not use. I have about 15 applications installed. There are no software updates available. I would like to share experiences with other Gio users, and perhaps recieve some advice about this matter before returning my phone to the store again.
To summarise: In the9 months I have had my Gio, it has been in repair for 5 months.
The andriod version installed now is2.3.3.
Can anyone help me?
