I have a Samsung UN46D6000 and it is connected to my router via a LAN cable. When I first received the TV, upon pressing the Smart Hub button the Smart Hub would come up right away. Now it is a few months later and when I press Smart Hub for the first time after turning the TV on I see "Starting" in the upper right corner for about 30 seconds. The screen then goes black for about 10 seconds, and then finally the Smart Hub comes up. Is there any way to fix this?

It may be attempting to connect to your router. If your router is "always on" as in plugged in, try unplugging it for 30 seconds, replugging it in, and then trying again.
This can sometimes also happen if you power up the TV, and immediately press the SmartHub button. What happens is that the TV hasn't connected to your router devices and you're already launching commands. Just like a browser would wait for a connection to load a page, the TV also needs a connection, and that "Starting" can be one of the reasons you see that.

Tried your suggestion of resetting the router, but this did not help.
In fact, I am attempting to access the Smart Hub when the TV first turns on. I have it programmed as an activity on my Harmony remote with a 15 second start up delay. I understand your point, but there was a good 3-4 months where this did not occur. It has only started recently.
Any other suggestions? Please note I have tried using the regular remotes and turning the TV on, waiting about 2-3 minutes and then pressing the Smart Hub button. The same thing happens.

The only thing I can think of is to ask if this might have started after installing a specific App? I haven't heard of any App causing a slow startup, but willing to hear if this might be a variable.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what variable to explore next. The good news is that it's likely still within warranty if you'd like to have it serviced. But we can also try resetting the TV first if you'd like to try that and see if that fixes the issue. If it's just a simple software glitch, and you don't mind resetting the TV and losing your settings, try this:
Turn the TV on.
Press and hold the EXIT button on the TV's remote (or bezel) for 20 seconds, or until you're prompted to "RESET"? Press YES and the ENTER middle button.
