If you're still within the window to return it, I'd do so. There have been a lot of similar Netflix problems popping up with this model, and I've yet to see a solution that fixes it if a simple reset doesn't work.

I'd also recommend returning it vs. sending it in under warranty as the last couple of times I've called Samsung's support, they've told me that I can't send my player in for Netflix-related problems / have promised to call back in a few days with a solution and then never call. It's disappointing and frustrating, and if you have a way out by trading it in for a different player, I'd take it.

I just bought one today and it is going back first thing in the morning. Wasted over an hour of my lif on this thing. Wish I would have done more research before I purchased it. I was actually prepared to purchase a Sony with my backup purchase being an LG. Both were sold out. This samsung sounded promising but you should never trust the advertising.

I'm sorry to hear that you were having trouble installing the App. I'm not aware of a large scale problem, which points to either something to do with local regions (are any of these outside the US?), connectivity problems, the TV or SmartHub not being updated (sometimes the initial process has several App updates that must be done in a row), or other possible variables.

I hope we can earn your business in the future, and I'm sorry we weren't able to assist this time.

Same Problem

I bought one refurb'ed, and I do not have a Netflix app to download from the smart hub. I only planned to use it for Netflix, and maybe a rare occasion a Blu-Ray or DVD, this is very disappointing. I had always had luck with refurbished items, I guess my assumption that they go through rigorous testing before resale may not have been correct.

I am in Houston, when I did the initial setup, I selected English, and I confirmed that it is set to English in the settings, but my smart hub terms of service is in a different language for some reason.

I got on Samsung help/chat and was given a solution, not sure if anyone is still having this problem, but the fix for my player was that the internet country was wrong. I am not sure ho this got defaulted to the wrong country, but it was not set to the US (and I was not given an option to select during initial setup).

If you open the smart hub, then it FF > 2 > 8 > 9 > RW (in sequence, not at once, and not next chapter, last chapter, but FF/RW), you will then be given a list of "internet countries" to select, pick USA and you can download Netflix no problem.
