Pairing Samsung QWERTY keyboard remote to 6500 series TV

I bought a Samsung QWERTY remote for my 6500 series LED Internet TV. I bought it on Ebay and the seller, for what its worth said this remote would work with my TV. The regular side of the remote works fine, but the keyboard side says NEEDS PAIRED. I followed the instructions, but it won't pair. Is there a setting on the TV that needs changed?

Agreed with the above post. Is this a C6500 or a D6500? The full model number would allow me to look into this.

Getting behind the TV is not that easy. The manual just says Series 6 6500 LED TV. Its a 2010 model - I just found this in the CONTACT SAMSUNG MENU - Model Code UNC55C6500

The C-Series does not support the QWERTY remote.
