Is Samsung doing away with TV apps?

I've been trying for more than a week to register for an apps account at
the Samsung site, since this is required before I can add any paid
apps. Yet, each time, I get an error message saying:
"Sorry for your inconvenience. We are currently experiencing technical difficulties,
if the problem continues please call 888-899-7609."

I tried e-mailing their customer support but no response.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? Is Samsung doing away with the apps store?

I thought maybe I could get some info here instead. Calling during the day for something like this isn't convenient for me. But I may have no choice.

bbigham,

The Apps are alive and well, so if there is any "doing away with the Apps", that's news to me.

The call center has pretty flexible hours, and may be able to address your issue directly. I can do troubleshooting, but for time-constraints and getting your Apps account working, I'd recommend working with the customer service center directly on this.
