Same problem, possible solution

I had the same problem -- having to re-enter the stupid password and go through the entire network setup process every time I turned the TV on. My problems actually got worse -- the Samsung UN46D8000 couldn't find the network at all half the time. At first I thought this was related to a wireless Samsung subwoofer I had added to my system. I followed all the available advice. Updating the Samsung firmware did absolutely nothing. Switching the router from 2.4 to 5Ghz seemed to help for a few hours, but then the same problem returned. I spent at least six or eight hours troubleshooting the problem. What worked for me was a very simple change to my Asus AC66U router: switching the wireless mode setting from Auto (N plus Legacy) to N Only. Now the Samsung finds the network without any problems, and connects automatically without my having to re-enter the password every time. Personally, I consider this a flaw in the Samsung TV, not the router. Every other device in the house connects to the router flawlessly under the Auto settings (at last count, there were 20 devices connected). Only the Samsung "Smart" TV had a problem with that setting. And it wasn't even smart enough to deliver an error message that might buy you a clue as to what the problem was. In any case, check your Wireless Mode, and if it is set to Auto, try setting it to something else.
