How to Hook Laptop up to Samsung UN46C6300??

I was very excited when I bought my new Samsung UN46C6300. I cant afford cable so my plan was to hook up my laptop to the TV and use the TV as a larger monitor to watch movies and Hulu videos.

Problem is my Dell Inspiron only has a VGA port, no HDMI.

==> Does anyone know what the best way to get my Laptop screen on the TV at the highest resolution possible, given my situation?

There are USB ports on the back of the TV so im wondering if I plug in a Samsung Wirless adapter will i be able to surf the web on the TV ( and play videos)?

Also, the TV advertises its Allshare application => can I benefit from using this at all for what I want?

http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN46C6300SFXZA-features notes it has a "PC input". That's usually VGA connections so did you use that?

As to Allshare. Not much use.

If the laptop is a few years old, you might want to get a new one with HDMI output. Otherwise the other poster is correct in that you can use VGA. VGA will only do video though and youll need to pull audio out of your Dell with a mini (3.55 mm) to RCA cable. There is a Netgear product called push 2 tv which could work, but requires an i5 processor.

You model Samsung is BELOW the ones which have apps like hulu plus etc. You would have had to buy the un46c6500 for those features, even then there is not full web browsing. You can get some of those internet features by buying a blu ray player with them, or using something like a Wii, 360 or PS3 for various internet apps.
