Restarting from pause problem with BD-C6500

Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I did not see an exact answer out there.

When I pause my player, if I'm gone for more than a few minutes, I get the splash screen for the blu-ray disc(universal in this case), and I can't get back to the show, ultimately having to re-start. Pressing pause gives an error message(not available), and pushing play starts the counter on the player moving, but doesn't change the picture. Hitting menu works, but I can't go back to where I was and have to restart. Any ideas?? Thanks

biglionfan111,

If you're going to be away from your player for a prolonged period of time, hit the STOP button rather than the PAUSE button. Then, pressing play should allow you to go back to where you left off.

Blu-Ray players are far more technical than the operation of a DVD player, and unfortunately these issues may differ from the traditional expectation of a DVD players operation. I realize that's not helping the situation, but that's what I do too.
