Can't connect my Samsung Blu-Ray wirelessly

I am a computer idiot, but I have rear the owner's manual and researched Samsung's website quite a bit with no luck. Just bought a HTB-C6500 Home theater/Blu-Ray system. Figure it would be as simple as turning it on, searching for my home wireless network, typing in the passkey, and go surfing. Well, not so fast. Tried the auto network settings first, no luck. I got a yellow "X" at IP address, Sugnet mask, Gateway, DNS server when I did network test. So I moved on to manual settings. I have a MAC home computer wired directly to the internet, so I checked the network settings on that computer (BTW my MAC laptop is working just fine wirelessly). Entered theabove settings: IP: 10.0.0.4, Subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 10.0.0.1, and DNS 10.0.0.1
Now network test gets all the way to Gateway Ping but stops there with "not connected to the gateway"
So I randomly enter 10.0.0.4 for the Gateway code and next network test gets past the gateway ping, but stops at Internet Service Test with "HTTP port is disabled; check if the HTTP port is blocked". Where do I go from here? Thx...
