The puzzle of the C6900 tvs?

Looking at the samsung site, the UN46C6900 has the right combination of features for me. But I am very puzzled by its limited distribution.

It seems that only Best Buy carries the C6900 series. It is not found on Amazon or any other online retailer that I can find. The C7000 series -- much the same but with 3D -- is available from multiple sources.

Can anyone say why the C6900 is not more widely sold?

Best Buy arranges for models to be exclusive to their stores. I hope you can figure out why.

Interesting. One, currently the 6900 at BB is $100 less than the 6800 at Amazon (not always the case, sometimes they are equal).

Two, several Amazon reviewers of the 6800 remark that it is exactly the same as the 6900 except for its "touch of color."

Three, I cannot now find what it was that made me think it had different or better specs in any way than the 6800. At samsung.com, the feature comparison display is identical.

If you have an exclusive then you can advert price matching all you want without fear.
