The quick answer is no, the WIS09ABGN can't be used on your model of plasma TV. That said, there aren't any applications that could be run (like Netflix, or Pandora) available for that model either.

However, if you're interested in the Apps, the Blu-Ray players for 2010 have those features also, and some are Wi-Fi built in (BD-P6900, BD-P7900), others are "Internet Ready" which require the additional linkstick.

I will call back if you tell me that I can still get a transaction number for a TV that is now out of warrantee. I just want the name of the part so I can purchase it and I just dont want to deal with lots of runarounds.

I have been trying to get someone to even try to listen to my case but when my wife called samsung (twice) they purposely hung up on her when she asked to talk to someone higher up than the customer service reps. which by the way also stated that our HD6756 did'nt report having any problems, but the second customer rep stated that samsung was aware of the multi white dot problem and told her to submit another transaction work order for a number. This would make the third try at getting someone to come out and diagnose our tv with not even a callback from anyone.

I have a different model number but same issue that cropped up yesterday. I just hung up with Samsung. My TV is 4 years old & it qualified for a free repair. Rep said my "TV qualifies for this one-time fix". So it depends on the model & seriel number of your TV. I was told a tech will call to set up an appt. Only hitch is if they fix it (replace DMD chip) & the issue still exists, I pay a "trip charge". The tech is supposed to let me know what that is up front before they come out; I decide then whether to let them repair or not.

Samsung called me back today and they will fix the TV. My only cost will be for a service charge but I think I can get out of that because every service tech I have talked to has just laughed when I say "do you know about the white spot issue". They have all fixed hundreds of them. We will see if this happens or not but right now I am much happier.

I wish you could assist me in getting help with the white dots on my HTL4275S. I called Customer service a number of times in January but could not get anyone to agree to a repair. My TV is obviously defective and I can't understand why Samsung would repair some TVs and not others.

I cannot afford to repair it and can't afford to purchase a new one.

Please help me.

Thanks so much for responding. I think you hit the nail on the head-- I am from Canada and therein lies the problem. Everyone I spoke to (in both customer support and the executive customer relations dept.)said they had no authority to help me even though the U.S. customer service number is the one we are referred to up here. How can that be?

I have also been advised that the transaction # I was given is missing a digit so I doubt you can refer to my case with this number 2100906966.
I could give you my telephone number but is that prudent in this forum?

I feel so disappointed in this situation in that some people seem to have no problem getting these repairs done and others, like me, are rejected.

I appreciate this defect is affecting Samsung's bottom line and I am sorry
but if some customers are helped then all should be, whether they be from the U.S. or Canada.

Please let me know what else I can do and anything you can do to intercede on my behalf would be MOST appreciated.

I have a Samsung DLP HL-T6176S and three other Samsung TVs in my home. Over the last two weeks, I have noticed white and black dots appearing on the screen of the HL-T6176S and the number is increasing rapidly each time I turn on the unit.
<div>I contacted Samsung and a repair service called me within 2 days. They were able to diagnose the problem without me talking to them or seeing the TV and said that a chip would need to be replaced.
I called Samsung back and asked for any relief in repairing the TV, but to no avail. Other similar consumers appear to have the same problem. Can you please help.
