Playing iPod thru 7000 Series TV?

Can I play the music from my iPhone through my Samsung TV without causing any problems with the TV?

I am thinknig 2 possible ways to do it - either connect the phone directly to the TV via USB port, or using the WiFi connection and find my phone & play it that way.

Should either of these work?
Is there another way?
WOuld there be a way to show photos on the tv while music is playing?

The AllShare option is for Allshare enabled devices. At this point, I don't believe that will work, particularly with AAC files. It may work with mp3 devices, but you'll need to connect to the device.

The USB port would give you a better chance of working. That said, if the iPod has additional updates installed since the release of the TVs, that additional DRM measure may prohibit certain functionality or playback.

There isn't a way of showing photos while music is playing.
