i have a samsung plasma tv ps50b850 ,it will turn off my HT system when i turn the tv off but when i turn on the tv ,i have turn on the HT system on using the remote control of the HT system.can you help me.

Anynet+ is designed to do one of two things:

1. Enable when a device is programmed to turn on.
2. Ignore when a specific device is powered on.

That said, if you turn on the HT system first, then the television will connect with Anynet+ and power on also.

There aren't customization controls for power on devices at this time for Anynet+, except for the feature to be enabled or disabled.

1.if i turn on my HT system it does not turn on my tv on
2. if i turn off the tv ,the HT sytem does switch off.
i do not what the problem is.both are connected by hdmi cables.i have also have an ps3 connect to the Ht system and sony dvd player /recorder all connected by hdmi to the HT system.
any ideas

Are they both Samsung devices? If so, is Anynet+ enabled on both units in their respective menus?

yes ,they are both samsung devices.and anynet+ has been enabled on both devices.as said before ,the tv will switch off the HT which is fine .but the HT will not switch on the tv.

The only other thing I can think of is to inquire if you're using a HDMI 1.3 or higher rated cable, since CEC requires HDMI 1.3.

If that doesn't identify the problem, I'd have to refer you to the Samsung customer service center for further troubleshooting. On most units in the U.S., the TV is powered when the Samsung HT system is powered on.

At the moment, I am using a cheap hdmi 1.3 cable .I will try and see if 1.4 will make a difference.

i have tried an more expensive hdmi cable and still there is no difference.tv still will not switch on when i turn on the HT system,can you please tell what i have to do next.

The way that you initially described the problem is how it's supposed to work. If you're still not satisfied, try calling the Samsung customer service center in your region for further assistance.

this my understanding, the way system is supposed to work is that when i switch the tv off the HT switches off,this works ok.but my understanding is that that if i switch the HT system on first anynet should switch the tv on but this does not happen.if have to switch on individually.

Many HTs have a radio tuner, so users would not want it to turn on the TV. I have found that opening the disc tray will turn on my TV. Probably pressing Play would do it as well.

my ht systems is an av receiver only and hasd no disc drive,but it does have a radio tuner and i do not know if this may be the reason why it will not switch on the tv.

Anynet+ simply stopped working or appearing

I noticed this section of the forums. I am unable to find a menu on my Samsung TV or surround sound system regarding how to restore Anynet+. It is claiming to have been disabled, but how could I have done this if I haven't even found how.

I own a Samsung PS50C6900 which I have partnered with a surround sound system of the same manufacturer. This issue has only happened in the last couple of days. It means I can't use my TV and Sky remotes for sound, just the surround sound remote. I'd appreciate any help.
