Samsung HDMI Problems

Hi there,

We got a LA46B650T1F 46' LCD Samsung, Problem is: whatever is plugged into HDMI 2 outputs to all the other HDMI channels even when they have things plugged into them. DOes anyone have an idea. Have had this happen before tech came out and fixed it, he replaced the Mainboard 4 months ago and it worked fine up until now and it has happened again. Has anyone come across this and if so how did you fix it.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having troubles.

I haven't heard of this symptom before. You might try unplugging all of the HDMI connections, and holding down the EXIT button to see if you can get the system to restart. If not, attempt to run the Plug and Play option in the TV to see if that fixes the issue.

If none of those satisfy the issue, I'd recommend calling the Samsung customer service center in your region.

we have just had the service guy here for the second time in two days. He is ordering another main board for it, which he had done last time. trying your suggestions now, first one did not work. second one however the plug n play option, we go into it and cannot select that option.. It is there but not highlighted to select it. we don't know... thanks for your help too btw.

Happy to lend a hand if I can.

Try accessing Plug and Play from the tuner input.

If that doesn't work, I'd bring that up to the service guy on his next visit. I wish I had a solution for you, but keep me posted.

we got the plug and play bit sorted, but no it didn't help. Oh Well.. I know once he puts the newmain board in it will work ok, but just for how long. Hate spending $$$$ on something that will only last for 12 months. OR LESS!!

Bad HDMI Connectors

I have a problem with the TV not seeing the HDMI connection. Switch to the second HDMI and all was fine. After about a year the second HDMI port failed or should I say fell off! Both ports broke off from minor movement.
I thought it may be just a fluke but I have found the same problem on other Samsung's. It took the out of the running when I buy my new TV.
