Vertical lines on Samsung LN40A750R1FXZA Flat Screen TV

Barely two year old HDTV - has developed vertical lines that move as the bright sources move. The lines go from the source to the top of the screen. Information online it is that it is a bad panel, costing around $800. Last year, this television had the clicking problem with the bad capacitors ($250). Now, this problem with the (mostly) red vertical lines. What do you suggest?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

Unfortunately, the symptom you're describing could be either the panel or possibly even a board. Without having the unit inspected, it'd be difficult to offer a diagnosis or suggest the next step.

Thanks for responding.

I believe this was one of the first LN40A750R1FXZA models produced and, as with the capacitor problem, one of the first to experience the problems. Rather than spending the (additional) two hundred dollars to get the repairman out, I am considering waiting until the problem, and the solution, is widely reported.

On http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2010/07/samsung_tv.html the recommendation is to replace all five of the 10volt capacitors rather than just the three replaced nine months ago.
