SAMSUNG APPS, LOVEFILM AND TV LISTINGS APP STOP FUNCTIONING
I've just placed a call with Samsung Support by telephone and to be honest the call centre bod I spoke to knew nothing about the product I have. Maybe someone here can help me.
On the 29th July I purchased a new UE46C700WKXXU. I installed it, had everything working (it had to do a load of updates in internet@tv, but worked great afterwards. I am a Lovefilms subscriber, so started using that to, without much of a problem.
As of a couple of days ago I cannot connect to Samsung Apps, Lovefilm or the TV listings service App. It sits there just saying connecting. BBC Iplayer, Facebook and Youtube work great still. (The BBC HD content looks bloody brilliant!)
I am running the latest version of the firmware as of 30th July (installed by the TV), although it is not the latest version available on the website, which seems to be French specific, so Im not entirely happy about using it.
I've done all of the 'consumer' fault finding. (I work in IT, so am very used to doing this before anything else). Everything up to and including a full factory reset.
I cannot update the tv software via the built in 'web install', it also sits there 'connecting'.
When I try the speed test in the internet@tv interface it does nothing for a few seconds and then returns the message "network interference -- please try again later". The TV menu network tests work fine. I have also fully tested my network, just to be thorough. All ports on my router are open outbound as well.
I am assuming there is an issue with the services rather than the TV!?
By the way, the DNLA and network media is working fine.
