Facebook App on Samsung TV with Internet@TV Not Working
My 70 year old mother just purchased a Samsung TV with Internet@TV & Samsung 3D HD Blu Ray Player. After 4 days of 8 hours straight figuring out how to get apps loaded and registered with Samsung, we finally got her FB page up and going yesterday afternoon. However, it does not appear to be working (or is a very poor excuse for an app). We did purchase a wireless Logitech Keyboard and Mouse and have hooked those up to the Blu Ray Player to make navigation easier for her.
However, the app either does not allow her (or we just cannot figure out how to do it) to tag friends when she posts a status update, make comments on friends photos, or label her own photos. Also, when she commented or posted on friends pages, and then logged on her FB accnt to check the postings on her computer - though the TV said posted, they were not there. When we logged her onto FB yesterday evening again so she could show my husband what she had "learned to do", the same posts from her friends were there with no updates or changes (though obviously there had been updates and changes bc we saw them on her desktop). My FB app on my LG Octane phone is more efficient (which is not saying much). She has 90 days to return this television to the store, and had hoped upon purchasing, it would last her a lifetime. Has anyone found this issue, or a "fix". If not, I may advise her to return the television, as she is a retired single mom school teacher (and this is the most extravagant purchase she has ever made in her lifetime). Please help!!!!
