I currently have a Facebook account that works fine on both my computer and iPhone. HOWEVER, I could NOT log-in to Facebook with my Samsung Smart TV, even though I had taken all the steps and created a Smart Hub account (on my TV) AND a Samsung Apps account (on the website). Also note that the Samsung Apps account MUST have a credit card on file in order to log-in on the TV itself.
OK, here's the bug I found on the Facebook App: Your Facebook password MUST contain ALL three of these: alpha, numeric, AND a PUNCTUATION.
Previously I had always logged into my Facebook account for years locally through a web browser using only alphanumeric...with no problems. BUT, apparently the Samsung Facebook App needs to see a punctuation in the password.
Logging into my Facebook account and changing the password to include all three of these fixed the problem. Strangely this is actually indicated on the Facebook page, but I had never noticed it as my Facebook account password had always worked fine without a punctuation.
