Samsung LCD LA32C450E1

Please help me deciphering this code (LA32C450E1). What does each character in this model of LCD means?. And is there any difference with LA32C450 and LN32C450?

I recently bought an LCD (LA32C450E1), I would like to ask, what is the best setting for this kind of model (color,brightness,hue, etc) for the best viewing experience. What is its Motion Response Time (ms?), I've checked the website but no luck, and also the Contrast Ratio, it only says High Contrast, I would like to know the ratio ___:1.

The LN/LA signifies the region that the television is intended for.
The number after - 32 - is the screen size
The A, B, or C denominator signifies the year the television was released.
(A = 2008, B = 2009, C = 2010)
The number after that is the Series, and the Subseries (Ex: 4-Series, 50-subseries = 450)

I can only speak on U.S. sets, however the specifications should be available on the website listing the dynamic contrast ratio and the response time.

Is it possible to suggest me the right settings (Picture, Sound, etc.)for my LCD to experience the best viewing? I have read some articles that it is better to adjust or calibrate the settings of your LCD after you bought it. I do not have a Calibrating DVD.

Well, you've come to the right place. C|Net has a HDTV Picture Settings forum where people share their "ultimate" settings.

You can find that forum here:

You might do a search for the LN32C450, which is the U.S. "sister model", as the reviews tend to be driven towards U.S. models. I did a quick check, and didn't see anything for that specific model - it may not have been reviewed by C|Net yet, but you can post a request or start a thread for your specific model, too.

I have a La32c450 LCD which I bought recently. While browsing on some "LCD" sites, I read that a minimum resolution (standard) in a LCD is 1080p,I know that the LCD that I have has only 720p... I am planning to sell my LA32c450 and buy a LA32c530 which is having a higher specification in terms of resolution.. I am using my LCD for everyday viewing only and I bought an HDMI DVD player for playing DVD movies.

Is it worth the switch from la32c450 to la32c530? Is there a HUGE difference in the picture quality?

I can speak on the U.S. versions of these models, which may or may not vary between regions.

The difference is between a 720p 32" panel and a 1080p 32" panel.

720p is a typical resolution for a 32" HD panel, speaking about the industry in general. A 1080p HD panel at 32" is not sold by some manufacturers, so it's considered a benefit to have.

As to the difference, that value judgment is best made by you.
