cannot delete some music files on s260

I have an early e260. Was the ability to delete a track in this model added later?

When I connect to my PC, I cannot see the tracks that I can see when I use it disconnected. I tried connecting it in both modes.

I don't want to format it, because I have track I want to keep.

I meant version 1 e260. Can read tracks, but can't delete

Is there anyway to find some tracks that I can see on my player, but not
when I connect to a PC?

ted37,

Were they tracks you ripped yourself, or did they come from a music service?

You may be able to access the file by inserting the memory card into an adapter and trying to plug that into the computer. Perhaps you'd be able to access the file that way.

These were some mp3 files I loaded that did not have anything in the album part of the header. they appeared on the player in an album name

the version is 1.00 12a

I tried connecting in both MSC and MTP modes and I cannot see them
using a PC.

is there a newer software version that will let me delete them on the
player?

It is in the 4 gig internal memory.

What is the newest software I could update to?

I don't know. That would be determined by the service provider.
