Samsung forum: Samsung - 55" Class LED 3D (UN55C7000WF) Calibration

Just had my UN55C7000 set professionally calibrated by an individual who was video certified (sorry, can't remember which one) He brought several thousand $$$ worth of equipment, had 12 yrs of experience, spent 3 hrs here, was a geek but truly knew what he was doing. The result was outstanding. The picture is just unbelievable! He has his own company, but also works for Tweaktv.com (see their website for additional information and calibration tweaks). I had to wait for 2 months before he scheduled his Texas tour.

Thank you, "ISF" was the certification. Although at times, there is a slight difference in picture quality, this is more than likely because of the television source ('live broadcast', tape, movie-film, Blu-ray and even the result of your HDTV provider compressing the video signal at their end) and not the TV itself. The overall clarity, the true naturalness and the crispness of the picture makes one almost forget where they are. You could feel like you are watching a movie in a small screen movie theater. You see what the director-producer wanted you to see. Colors, flesh tones, blacks etc are beautiful and real...not too brilliant and vivid nor understated or artificial.

It makes sense if one is going to spend $2500+ for a 'new and state-of-the-art' HDTV, why not spend a few hundred dollars more to get what you paid for. You will spend many, many hours in front of the television and each time you do you will be rewarded.

for this model to address 'some' 3D issues. Check on their website under your HDTV model number. Sorry, I can't answer your '3D' questions. I don't used the 3D capability and didn't buy it for that reason(s). I'd say, but don't know that all things considered your 3D picture would be better after calibration. Updates to address specific issues would be my first choice as they address specific issues inherent across all specific models.
