SyncMaster 2493HM firmware update

Hello,

after VERY BAD experience with the support and no response to my e-mails to Samsung, I'd like to know if someone here is able to give me a reason why Samsung does NOT (obviously) want to release a simple firmware update for my 2493HM which was advertised as "supporting 1080p" and in fact doesn't display a 1920x1080 picture AT ALL!

A simple 1:1 mapping feature for 1080p and BTW proportional upscaling of 720p signal is all I'm asking for.

If 1 customer is not enough - please would anyone agree to sign a petition to "force" them to create this update?

Done! Question on Rotating Screen

I found your post while searching for information on the rotation of the screen. When I purchased this screen I thought rotating it would change the video orientation or I would have continued to use my other Samsung monitor swapping the video myself after rotation.

Anyway, these monitors knows when they're rotated, it indicates this on the screen. So I'm looking for an output signal from the monitor I can use as a signal input to my MAC. Then I'll use this signal in an Apple script to rotate the video as the monitor rotates.

I'll post this is a more appropriate section for this forum, just wanted any input you may have...

Unfortunately, I can't help you there sad

I've never had the need to use the pivot function, but what I've found on the web is something called "MagicRotation" which theoretically should do the job. Anyway, accept my sincere condolences as you're another Samsung's victim sad

As you can see by this site, the "Samsung Team" either doesn't respond at all (they've surely read my thread) or has no idea (in your thread).
