remote & cable connection for a crystal surround air track H

I just purchased this sound bar and find the manual to be very limited.

Do I need to run a separate cable to each component from the sound bar? IE sound bar to DVR/Satbox, Cable to Blue-ray, and Cable to TV?

and

Can the sound bar be set up to use a different remote? IE Directv there is nothing in the manual on this.

Paulk99,

You can hook all of the peripherals (Blu-Ray, Sat, etc) to the television, and then output the audio using the External Speakers setting on the TV to route all the audio to the soundbar if you'd like.

Depending on which devices are supporting the remote code set, that alone would dictate if it works with other HT codes. I don't believe many standard cable/sat remotes will have those code banks, but it may be possible with some of the higher end universal remotes (like Harmony, I believe). Also, if the remote is the programmable type where you can teach it codes, that may also provide a solution.
