Can you change IR frequencies or disable IR on a Samsung TV?

I have a Samsung LNT4661F, and in the same room I also have 2 Samsung T240HD TVs that I uses as monitors for my PC. Whenever I use the remote to turn my TV on or off, it also affects the monitors, which I don't want to be affected.

Is there a way to adjust the IR frequencies the TVs use so I can control them individually, or perhaps a way to disable the IR detectors on the monitors since I don't use remotes for them anyway?

To cut a square of black electrical tape to cover the sensor on the display I wanted to lock out the remote to.

Cover the sensor?

Any idea where the IR sensor is located on the Samsung T240HD? I would cover it up, but it appears to blend in with the black bezel of the television/monitor a bit too well. I'm having trouble finding it.

But I've used the old cover a half to find if it's on the right or left or top or bottom and zero in on it method.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get home.

It so weird, I figured since my Samsung TV and Samsung monitor are on opposite sides of the room, I'd be able to just point the remote "away" from the monitor and be fine. Apparently the signal bounces off the walls, however.

Sensor location

on my T240HD it was right of the word SAMSUNG on the front bottom panel in the middle of the monitor, a little round dot if you shine a light on it about the side of the eraser on a pencil.

another sensor location

I have a samsung 32" lcd tv, I found the ir sensor on my tv to be on the immediate right of the red led light (the light shows whether the tv is on or off) on the lower right of the tv. The ir sensor can be seen by shining a flashlight at that location.
