TV turn it self off and NOT responding to remote control

LED TV 40"
Model : Samsung UN40B6000VF

I bought this TV less than 3 weeks ago and I'm already frustrated the hard way.

it is the 3rd time the tv turn it self off, when i turn it back on it stops responding to the remote control, only channel up and down works , nothing else, cant up/down volume, cant turn it off, cant switch inputs, i cant do anything at all, (even with an universal remote control)
the bottom light blinks every-time a click a button from the remote but it does not respond to it.

neither it respond to the touch button located on the tv's front panel.

I'm using the TV along with Sony sound system STR-KS2300. the issue happened before and after i hooked it up with the sound system.

i was able to found a work around : unplugging it from the wall for sometime, it start working just fine.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

I don't know what would be interfering with the television, or if it's an internal issue. I would recommend calling 800-SAMSUNG to see if a service inspection would identify the issue. You're likely well under warranty, so that would be my suggestion.

I've searched all over the interenet for info about this, called Samsung several times, called Samsung Parts department, and called a local service provider and from the info I have gathered there is "most likely" something wrong with one of the circuit boards in my TV. Unfortuneately I've had my TV for 14 months instead of 3 weeks so it is out of warranty.

I would get someone out to fix your TV asap while it is still under warranty.

I am also looking for additional informaiton about this issue. There are only 3 or 4 boards on the inside of the TV and I would LOVE it if someone could tell me the specific board that is failing so I can replace it myself for $100 rather than waiting on some shop to take my TV and return it to me in 3-6 weeks.

If you're three weeks out of the warranty and a U.S. customer, try this:

Register your TV online. In most cases, you'll get an additional 3 months of warranty added to your original warranty. Here's the link, and look for the green star:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/

Once you've successfully registered your unit, call 800-SAMSUNG, mention that you registered your TV for the additional 3 months, and then request a service call. They may walk you through some troubleshooting - go with it and see if that helps. If not, then they'll advise from there.

If you aren't able to get an approval, ask for a transaction number and post it here.
