Samsung led 7000 40" MKV ( not supported file format )

I have Samsung led 7000 40"
but i can't play MKV file i got that error ( not supported file format )
I have a network storage .its Western Digital my book world edition and i connect it to my network
all thing is ok my led connect to it and i play many movie from it but the only format i can't play it is the MKV format so how can i fix this problem?
or the DLNA doesn't support the MKV file
I play the same file from another HDD but i connect it through the usb port and the file is ok its work
Can anyone help me to know if i am correct about the DLNA that it can't support the MKV format

So the only way to play the MKV format is to use it from usb HDD or there is another way to fix that problem ???
