soap opera effect with 120hz

i recently purchased a samsung 630 lcd 120hz 1080p tv and after watching several movies and tv shows i'm really disappointed in the "soap opera effect" that seems to add frames to the normal 24 frames per second making movies and shows look cheaper in fact just like soap operas or like they are shot on cheap video.
i read that there is a way to turn off the 120hz and go back to 60hz. so far ive switched to "movie" in picture mode and turned off the SRS TS HD but i can still see the effect. is there somewhere else to turn off this 120hz motion interpolation for movies?????
if not im returning for the 60 hz model. youd never think "higher quality" would actually look worse. help please so i dont have to lug this thing back to best buy.....
