Samsung Crystal Surround Air Track, can't adjust volume

Hello there. I just purchased a Samsung Crystal Surround Air Track, and have it plugged in via the optical cable into a Panasonic Viera HDTV. I realize that I can't access the visual menu unless I have the system plugged into a Samsung TV, but does that mean I can't access volume controls any other way? I have to turn the system up all the way to get any more volume than I do out of my TV. That, and the subwoofer volume is very very low. It's wirelessly linked to the Soundbar, but producing very little sound. Am I stuck here or is there a way to work around this? Also, the Input Mode is always on PCM. Not sure what that means, but it won't let me change at all. Is there a way to fix this? Please help, thanks very much!

Does the television itself have an internal volume or adjustment? In some cases, the internal and external audio settings can make a difference.

PCM is listed because that's the signal it is receiving. If the source signal changes, it will reflect on the bar.

I bought this Air Track to go along with my 6000 series Samsung LED. I have synched the subwoofer but there is very little sound coming from it. I have tried music channels and movies but the volume on the subwoofer never changes. It sounds like the neighbor is playing his music too loud, almost distant sounding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Texas Rob,

Have you tried using the various sound modes that change the equalization of the sound? (News, Cinema, Music, Pass) Those might help adjust the sound to your liking.
