Connecting DVD to Samsung TV

I have connected my DVD (Pioneer XV-DV77) to new Samsung LE40B550A5W TV via an s-video (from DVD) to scart (into TV) cable. Picture and sound are OK but picture is black and white.

Is there something else I need to do/set up to get colour picture?

PS I'm a novice at this lark so simple instructions/suggestions would be appreciated.

Big Goff,

If those weren't the connections you used previously, I might suggest going into the menu of the DVD player and changing the output and/or resolution. Often times, the processed picture is assigned to a different output, and changing the output to the correct one will allow the processors inside to process the color.

If that's not the cause of the problem, you might want to call up customers support and have your unit serviced.
