Firmware Update in Samsung LCD TV

I want to update the firmware in my Samsung LN40B540P8F TV. I dowmloaded Saturn4_firmware.exe from Samsung. When run, it creates files in two sub-directories: T-STL3FAUSHC and T-STL5PAUSFC. Which sholuld I use, and which of the 5 files in the sub-directory should I put on the USB drive?

Unzip the entire zipped file directly to a freshly formatted thumbdrive rather than the hard-drive.

When it asks you which directory to use, use the root drive of your thumbdrive.

Your firmware update will be ready for the television after that, so continue to follow the instructions from there.

i cant run a self extracting .exe file due to only owning a mac, what the easiest way to get the firmware updated on my tv?

How to expand PC exe file on Macs

You CAN extract an exe file by using Stuffit Expander (free). It will expand the PC exe file and will work fine. Google for it (I think the site is www.stuffit.com). They sell a more featured version but all you need is the freeware one. Or, you could go to www.macupdate.com and do a search for Stuffit Expander.
