Samsung MPEG-4 DVB-T/DVB-C tuner LE52A559/569

Hi

New to this forum so if this question has been answered, bear with me happy

I have a Samsung LE52A559 with the usual MPEG-2 DVB-T/DVB-C tuner.

Samsung also makes a LE52A569 model with the highly desirable MPEG-4 DVB-T/DVB-C tuner.

The two models 559/569 uses the same firmware and is exactly the same hence the different tuners...

So...drumroll

Can I get a 569 tuner and swap it with the one in my 559?

I have tried different channels and I've come up with a part number for a 559 tuner that reads "dn0q403nh261" but it is sadly the same part number that shows up if I ask for the part number for the 569.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure what your results would be, unfortunately. You might try calling the parts department in your region, but I just have no way of knowing that.

Yeah, I already did that - contacted the parts supplier for Samsung in my home country, Denmark (Europe).

There is no one that "will" help me and they (Samsung) close the door straight away with the lines "The official answer is no".

I understand Samsung point of stance here but they do understand my position and I do not mind tampering with my screen since it is already out of warranty.

What I need is a LCD guru that does repairs and is not afraid of getting his hands dirty happy

So, if any of you guy's know anyone who does crazy things (hold your horses now) with Samsung LCD's, please send me the details.
