Internet@TV yahoo widget configuration

Hi,

I am finally able to get the wireless connection going and have signed in using my yahoo profile.

However, I am disappointed with the inability to configure these yahoo widgets with ease. I would have preferred that there was a web page where all yahoo widgets could be configured and when signed in using a yahoo userid all these configuration settings will flow easily to a TV, computer, smartphone etc.

Am I wishing for the moon or something here or is there something I am missing?

I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed. The widgets themselves are a new option on TVs this year, and we are working to expand providers and improve the interface.

The widgets themselves are for the TV only, and due to licensing and prior agreements, likely won't be transferable to smartphones or computers. However, there are some widgets that will be released that may have improved functionality.

What specifically were you looking to do?

I am specifically looking to change a few things..
the weather widget for example, I live in Boston, but I can only suggest I live in the USA in my profile setting. It shows me weather for California! How can I change it? It takes my zip code, but is not smart enough to link it to my location and weather!!

How can I customize the news widget to get what I want to see/read?

Yahoo advertises that it has widget from Netflix. How can I get that and configure it?


Hope you can suggest a few things for me to try out.

You can change your location in the system settings in the Profile widget. The manual shows you how to do this step by step on page 71.

Not all widgets have been released for this model yet, and widgets can vary by manufacturer and model. I don't know if Netflix will or will not be available in the future for this model.
