Thin horizontal Black pixels line in a Samsung LE32S7

Hello, Since a couple of days we have a constant horizontal thin black line showing all accross the screen. We have tried direct input from the distribution cable as well as input from the digital box. It is constant. Of course we have this television since 3 years, thus one year out of guarantie. Is it worth to bother or should we investigate to buy a new(er) model ? Thanks in advance. Dan.

Samsung LN-T4671F LCD - thin horizontal black line???????

My Samsung LN-T4671F LCD was bought new 1/2008 (naturally it's out of the warranty)...a very thin horizontal black line appears on the lower 3rd of the screen. It appears on the menu and all other inputs...no matter the source. Any suggestions as to the nature of the problem? How expensive to repair?

Is this an issue with other manufacturers or just Samsung?

This sort of sucks because we paid a lot for this set! Makes me suspicious of buying additional Samsung products????

Any help or advice is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

I have the same problem and out of warranty and samsung has told me there is nothing they can do. did you get any help from them?

We have the same problem. 3 months past warranty. LN46A540. Samsung said we'd have to pay for service. Sounds like they have a problem. Not real happy with Samsung at the moment. Don't like paying $1K and a year later the TV needs repair.

I was given a phone number for Samsung Executive customer Relations 800-522-7341. I called and they said since I had not reported this problem before my warranty went out they could not help me. Said they had not heard of this before. Call this number and tell them your problem. Would like to know if you are told the same thing.

Thin Black Horizontal Line Finally Fixed!

I called Samsung Executive Relations...Because I had reported it during the warranty period (when the tech called to arrange an appointment - it was no longer doing it so they never came out.)...but I had still reported it nonetheless. Of course it happened for real several months after the warranty had expired!

So because of that they agreed to extend the warranty for this item and pay for the parts. I would pay $245 for the labor (which took less than 30 minutes to replace). The replaced the entire LCD panel...essentially giving me a new tv for $245. The part was around $800-900+

However I too had to go thru several people at Samsung and report the issue over and over before finally getting someone to give me an answer and make this happen. Once I found that person at Samsung Executive Relations, it was great! No tricks or fine print charges to deal with...

These generation of HDTV's may be beautiful to admire, but they are not the 25 year sets that they replaced in terms of quality!

GOOD FOR YOU!! If it was out of warranty...how did you even get them to come out. The first thing they wanted was my sales receipt which shown the purchase date.

I've got a similar problem. I just got an LN52B550 less than two weeks ago, and I've now got a horizontal line across the center of the screen (it runs across the center of the screen for about 3/4 the width of the set). As I just got it, it's still under warranty, but I'm nevertheless very disappointed and frustrated by how quickly the set went bad.

Have called Customer care 2-3 times, and have gotten 2-3 different *ticket* numbers. Have reported by mail about these tickets... Never got ANY answer or acknowledgement. Got fed-up and solve my problem... I bought a Sony ! (But yeah ! It's a pisser to have to spend 850 every 3 years...)

I agree...I paid $1500.00 for mine 15 months ago. I'm buying a Sony this time. Never will I buy another SAMSUNG PRODUCT.

Thin black horizontal line on my PN50B550

This just happened to my set today. A thin horizontal line (looks like an entire row of burned out pixels) has appeared about 8 inches from the top. Shows up regardless of the input device...

I bought it from Best Buy (no extended warranty) in May 2009, so it is no longer under warranty. I submitted a repair ticket with Samsung, I'm curious to know what it will cost to get it fixed.

I am also not impressed with the Samsung brand anymore, I had a computer monitor that was less than 18 months old burn out recently. Very disappointing - I think they're one of the better brands when it comes to picture quality; but, I don't care how good the picture looks when lines start appearing across the set...

Has anyone that has had this problem had it fixed outside the warranty? If so, how much did it cost?

Horizontal black lines on a 46" Samsung LCD out of warrenty. Paid close to $2K for the set. Samsung needs to make this right. I will go out of my way to share our story and warn people about buying Samsung products.
