Works without a wireless security

Rick,
I went through the same exercise with the same result. I had an old 802.11b network (yeah, I know) with WEP encription. No success getting a connection, no matter what I did.
I just "received" an Apple Airport Extreme from Santa. I tried both WPA, WPA2 encription, and still no luck. Luckily, the Airport Extreme allows you to create a "guest" network that is totally isolated from all other devices within the primary network. Since I can "hide" the network, plus provide access control through the list of MAC addresses, I tried removing security on the guest network, and voila. So right now, the TV is connected as a guest.
Not the best scenario since it should work like any other wireless device with security on the primary network, but I have enough frustrations right now with DirectTV and other service providers at the house. So, I'll save this resolution for another day after the holidays. BTW, this is directly on my 46" 7000 series Samsung not the blue ray player. But I'm assuming the result should be the same. Fact is, connecting with wireless security is not friendly, and Samsung needs to fix that. When I have time and the will, I will try it again with security and look at the router logs to trace the failure. I found them on the old router, but didn't bother researching and opted for the upgrade.
Buying a new router is not the answer either, but in my case, I was way behind time and needed the upgrade. Streaming Youtube and Blockbuster is pretty impressive without any jittering though the Airport Extreme.
