Still can't get IPOD to play music through the USB port.

When I plug the IPOD Classic into the USB port it regognizes it and I am able to view the pictures but not listen to music or watch my videos, is it posible to do so without buying more cables? I have the samsung LN52A650. I have searched the other forums maybe i just missed it but still can't get it to work.

please help

Some of the new 4th Gen Nanos and Classics have additional software measures for DRM that may be incompatible with the WiseLink features.

I believe that you could use RCA to 3.5mm headphone jacks as an alternative, however, if you can't get music through the WiseLink port, it is likely that the additional technology added on by Apple may be the cause.

If I purchase the apple component cables for the ipod will this allow me to listen to my music and watch my videos?

Quite honestly, I'd have to check. I do know that there is a resolution requirement for the output, and I'm not sure if the iPod content would run at 480i or 480p (formats the television can decode).

I'll check on this in the morning and see what information I can find before you spend money on an additional cable.

Yes, the composite cables should work just fine. Even if you're just listening to music, you may have to plug in the video cable to make the input active. I don't see any reason why watching videos would have an issue with a composite cable. Docks are usually composite - the USB ones for the computer won't work, so I hope that helps.

USB iPod Samsung Sony ht ct100

I can't get my iPod to work either. I got the Sony HT CT100 to improve the Samsung sound, and that works Ok. But, when I connect the iPod, the sound does not go to the TV nor to the Sony CT100. That was my goal, to get iPod sound into the CT100. It is a bit frustrating.
