LE40A856 and Ethernet LAN connection

Please help. I cannot get the Ethernet connection working on my LE40A856. When I connect the TV directly to my PC using the crossed Ethernet cable (and setup IPs properly), it works ok. But I have the ASUS WL500g router and want to connect both the TV and PC to it. With PC there is not any problem but TV doesn't work. I tried both crossed and 1:1 ethernet cables but there's no link (LEDs on TV and router don't get lit). In the same router port the PC works ok, so it's not broken. Does anyone met the same problem? Please help.

Are you in the network menu when you're attempting to establish the connection, and is it possible to select the networking option in the menu?

The network setup in the menu is disabled (grayed). The LED on the RJ-45 connector on TVs back as well as LED on the router are off.

UE40B7020 problem connecting to asus wl500g

I have similar problem when I connect the TV using Asus WL-500G with LAN cable, TV DHCP client does not work at all and when I setup the IP of the TV manually, there is a strange behaviour. Test of ping gateway fails and when I ping the TV ip address, there is about 95-98 % packet loss. This looks, like a problem on link layer and auto negotiation implementation on Samsung TV. Other devices as PC, notebook, network media tank connected to asus LAN interface do not experience such problem. Ping statistics from router to TV attached.
