Flash Player Doesn't Complete Installation on Windows Vista

Hi. I've been having a hard time installing Flash Player (my laptop runs on Windows Vista Home Premium). I've already downloaded Flash Player and have tried installing it; I clicked on "Run," but after doing that, nothing happens. I inspected my Windows Task Manager and it's there (Processes), but nothing's happening. I though maybe my computer's just processing slow, so I waited for it for like an hour. But still nothing happened. It's just there in my Windows Task Manager but the installation wasn't completed. What do I do?

It turns out it was waiting for me to close my browser and email apps. Try this. Reboot and do not run the browser or email. Try again.

No Go? Try Chrome as it has flash built in. And keep in mind that some of today's security apps lock out add ons. Flash is a web browser add on.

First, uninstall Flash by using the Flash Uninstaller at the link below..
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

After that's done, then download the appropriate manual Flash player installer from the link below. If running two browsers, you may need both installers.

Flash Player for IE 32& 64 bit:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Flash Player for Non-IE browser (Opera, Firefox etc):
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe
