BSOD

I keep getting the blue screen of death over and over and over. It happens when I'm on facebook saving pictures.
My computer is an HP
Windows Vista 2007
Model # a6403w
Serial # 3CR8231KOG
System Product # KJ387AA-ABA

Given the age of the PC, try the usual maintenance with canned air. Make sure the PC has nothing blocking the air flow on the vents.

Also, try DISABLE FLASH HARDWARE ACCELERATION (see google.)

Thank you for replying to my post. I haven't bought the canned air yet. When I did a search for Disable Hardware Acceleration. It said go to the video you want disabled. So I'm still looking for answers. I did go through my control panel and got rid of a bunch of unwanted games. I've tried so many things. So far this evening I haven't had the blue screen. Actually it seems to happen when I'm on Facebook or hi5.

That was what I put in...in my reply I left FLASH word out. If I put my computer back to original factory condition, would that solve the problem?

The issue with the change that Adobe made to Flash is that it does fail on machines that are restored to stock.

Also, restoring to stock does not cure hardware issues such as a dirtyheat sink or dried up heatsink compound.

This machine is old enough to require the basic cleaning.

Could be hard drive

I had the same problem. I was having BSOD's everyday until Windows completely corrupted. Turned out to be my harddrive. Run Chkdsk to see if Windows has bad clusters.

Not everything can be remedied with can air or I would use it on my car.

Thank you for replying to my post. How do I run a Chkdsk. I've tried so many things. I just don't know. It seems to happen when I'm on Facebook and Hi5. I also had the blue screen playing Luxor, but today I checked Luxor and it said Luxor was running fine.
