posted earlier about toshiba laptop and shut down problem .ran sfc/scannow, it came back with corrupt files but was unable to fix.details r in cbs.log windir\logs\cbs\cbs.log....ok how do i accsess this and how do i fix

Log files can be opened in Notepad (windir is c:\windows for most of us).

Fixing might be impossible without the Vista install DVD. Do you have that?

think i will have to find a disk to reformat...tried to download ubuntu , machine didn't stay up long enough
