Format Disappeared on Vista

I started to format a CD-R this morning on my Vista OS and the format option did not appear on either of my burner drives. It was there yesterday. Tried System Repair to no avail. Would appreciate any suggestions to resolve this issue. Thanks

Formatting was usually for another app.

Use anything else please.
