Problem with IE in Vista and Windows 7 after updates

I am having problems on multiple computers with running 64 bit Vista on 1 pc, and 64 bit Windows 7 on 2 other pcs. After the latest updates (8/16/12) I am having problems with the 32bit win explorer on certain websites where it suddenly stops responding. The same websites seem to be ok in the 64bit browser. I would appreciate any input on what the problem is and how I can resolve it.

Unfortunately, you've not told us which updates were installed. (Windows Updates? Flash Updates? Java updates? Adobe Reader updates? All were available on 8/16/12)

Or....since there was only ONE Internet Explorer update from Microsoft (KB2722913) did you also try uninstalling that specific update, then manually downloading both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the update and reinstalling them on each computer? (Try installing the 32 bit first AND the 64 bit versions on each machine.) The link is below:

Cannot communicate with primary DNS server

I was having an internet communication issue on 8/19 and couldn't figure out why. After several hours of surfing on another PC, I found a reference to MS updates causing a DNS problem. There were over 30 MS updates applied to my PC on 8/18 and I didn't want to spend hours figuring out which one, so I backed them all out (for now) and my internet access was restored. YEA!!

I think I'll disable auto-update for a few days until I get more info.
