Before i had some problems with directx,
on the internet the solution wich had the most positive feedback was to uninstall windows update KB971512.
Now windows update is stuck on installing KB971644.
with code 8000FFFF.
Eventviewer says :
The Windows update could not be installed because of an error: 2147942487 "The parameter is incorrect." (Command line: ""C:\Windows\System32\wusa.exe" ")

about the KB971644 update and

The Windows update "Update for Windows (KB971512)" could not be installed because of an error: 2147549183 "Catastrophic failure" (Command line: ""C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" "C:\Windows6.0-KB971512-x64(1).msu" ")

about the KB971512 update

Too often this points to a malware issue.
