cd burner

I have been using cdburnerxp , however when I try to advanced a track/skip it will not do so. I have been using memorex cd's.

I contacted memorex, they said that the problem is with the cdburner software. They suggested that I use Nero, however I am looking for a free burner that might solve my problem.

Appreciate any help

No hard to figure out. All the cd players I have used have a button you can use to advance a track you are playing to another track on the cd.

And the cdburnerxp program doesn't have such a button? Well, neither has Nero.

I'm sitting here looking down an RCA fm stero player
What I see arrows/triangles which ever you would like to call them
One points forward and one points backwards.
If you are play a cd and you want to go from #1 to #5. it should advance, mine doesn't
As I said do no reply, I may 76 years old, but I do have a grasp. Don't waste your time friend

The skip forward/backward on the player doesn't work with a CD that you burned with cdburnerxp. If you reread your first post, you'll see you didn't tell that there. That's why I misunderstood.

Five questions now:
1. Does it work on that player with a regular retail CD (one you bought and didn't burn yourself).
2. Did you burn a data cd or an audio CD?
3. What does Windows Explorer show as the name and contents of that CD. Tell it in such a way that we can understand it.
4. What's the exact make and model of that player; "RCA fm stero player" is bit too vague.
