Stuck at windows with other user

Im trying to fix my computer is a dell inpiron 530 with ops vista. After trying to watch an online movie some virus, trojan, malware, or what ever it was called "system check" start running so I run malwarebytes and combo fix, to get rid of the threat. So the system check dissapear, but after a week the iexplorer stop working and then mozilla. I run once again malwarebytes and restart the computer and found other user, and my user no were to be found.

After been stuck on that unknown user I reboot the computer and press F8 to enter thru safe mode, but safe mode doesnt go all away thru it get stuck too but its self restart and go to the unkown user. So I google other thing I can do to get into windows like A sofware to recover windows password. But didnt work, then I tried to erase everything on the computer using dban to reinstal the recovery cd and didnt work either.

Can someone please help me out with this? Any ideas? so I can get my computer back.

I replied to your other post then for some reason deleted both. I'm sorry I forced you to post again.

I see you have used DBAN, and if so, then all is lost. That is what DBAN does, it wipes the drive clean.

What didn't work with the recovery CD? Did the system boot from it? If not, access the BIOS and change the Boot Order to the CD drive.

However, I have to say I am not sure it will work even then. If I recall correctly, that Recovery CD is only to be used to recover an existing OS and it does not install an OS.

I think you will need to contact Dell and ask them for a proper Vista setup DVD. it will cost, but not as much as retail Vista.

Nothing works

I tried to used dban because I want to wipe everything out and start over, but didnt work. I have seen a lot of other post in other forums and so far nobody has fixed the problem. I got the computer recovery disc but still doesnt work because it said that is already install. And Dell support cant help me out because my warranty expire.

Since you wiped the drive that Recovery Disk will fail.

Despite what Dell says, you will need to ask them to supply install disks. Warranty is not an issue because they would not supply the disks free of charge even within the warranty period. You will need to pay for the disks.

Other than that, go retail. Purchase a genuine Vista retail disk and use that to install Vista, but if you're going to do that I would recommend going for Win 7 anyway. You will need all the drivers for the new install and that's going to be a problem. But if you visit the Dell web site and input the computer's Service Tag number, you should find the drivers for Vista at least, if not for Win 7.

Other than that, you could use Linux which is free.

You really should tell what you did and what happens then, so we can see what you do wrong.

Booting from a DBAN disk should work and let you fully erase the drive, including any recovery partition that's present.
Booting from a recovery disk should bring the system back to factory conditions whatever is present on the disk (be it nothing after using DBAN, or a corrupted non-working OS). So running DBAN shouldn't even be necessary.

My guess: you don't boot from that disks. And that really is necessary.

I'm 'never' sure about Recovery Disks.

Do they install onto a blank hard drive? Or do they simply restore a damaged system back to factory settings? Google prevaricates as far as I can see. Some sites say you can install onto a fresh hard drive, (or a newly formatted hard drive), whilst others say they can only 'restore' a damaged OS.

In this case I assumed the use of DBAN completely wiped the drive.

Yep, unclear posts by members only telling "it doesn't work" are difficult to handle. But somewhere above the OP said the recovery disk said that the system was already installed. Which made me think DBAN didn't wipe the drive. Which in turn made me think he didn't boot from that disk or USB-stick he made.

We'll have to wait for the OP to tell all, I'm afraid.
