Nothing there... all but one said (Default) Reg_SZ (Data) Value not set) the other was my
user name desktop.

Trying to get the desktop background I had before this happen... the Blue/green color one.
everything works except the background feature.

Grif...It didn't help me. So I restored it took about 2 hrs. to go back 7days. I guess
it was a mess Everything looks normal now. The only problem I keep noticing is
Win IE is acting strange. It keeps redirecting my searches. When I click on a search
it takes me back to the same page or I will get a blank page. I did run melware and cc cleaner.

Downloaded Hitman it was a 1 scan and not a 30 day trial. It only found
cookies and you had to purchase to clear that. Maybe I downloaded the
wrong one.

I tried the steps again just to make sure I was right.. After downloading the file from the link below and running it, it automatically connects to the internet and updates the definitions files.. Once done, it gives you a few screens to pass through, and a license agreement, which gives you the options to choose a one time scan or make a copy to scan daily with..

The license agreement here still mentions 30 days free and it does allow for removal of "bad" items if found.
